7 Easy Tips To Help You Lose Weight Around Your Belly

By loseweightdiet · Comments (0)
Tuesday, January 18th, 2011

Wouldn’t it be great if you could watch your belly disappear in time for summer? Here are some simple ideas to help flatten your tummy.

  1. Eat raspberries. They’re filled with fibre and fight constipation which can swell your tummy like a balloon.
  2. Drink water regularly. It fills you up, it’s calorie-free and keeps your metabolism running in high gear.
  3. Skip the cocktails. Ok so alcohol may be fat-free, but it’s loaded with calories. It can also increase your level of cortisol, a stress hormone that helps your belly store fat.
  4. Eat quality food. Select foods that are bulky and more filling. Eat foods that are nutritionally of high quality (ie, foods that are high in fibre, low in fat and with a low Glycaemic Index (GI).
  5. Reduce food portions. Avoid large portions in a single sitting and make sure to chew slowly and properly.
  6. Clench it. Keep your stomach muscles clenched at all times to give it a constant workout, especially while you’re walking or sitting. Sit up straight with your lower back supported against the chair, shoulders back and your chin up.
  7. Fitball Fun. Train the deep abdominal muscles that keep your core nice and firm with some fitball situps. The fitball will keep your lower back supported while you keep your feet flat on the floor, hands crossed over your chest and your neck straight. Inhale as you lower yourself backwards without moving the ball or your legs, then exhale as you sit up again, then repeat.

I used to have big problems with stomach fat, but I’m in better shape now.  Here’s a good site I found that really helped. It gave me great workouts and diet tips and showed me what I was doing wrong before. There’s even lots of free articles on the site… Check it out here

Cabbage Soup Diet 7 Day Plan

By loseweightdiet · Comments (0)
Thursday, September 15th, 2011

If you want to be able to attain a slim body, you can choose the cabbage soup diet plan for your journey to losing weight. The cabbage soup diet, as its name suggests, is a diet plan that spans for about seven days. It is a temporary weight loss program that should end after seven days. This is ideal for those who want to lose weight rapidly for a beach outing or a wedding.

cabbage-soup-dietThe cabbage soup diet premise is simple. You may only eat cabbage or drink cabbage soup for a week. There is a restriction on other food types, though you can take in minimum amount. This diet works because of the fact that cabbage is low in calories. However, it should be taken into account that the cabbage soup diet is not a lifetime alternative for good nutrition.

Though the cabbage soup diet sounds pleasing and nutritional, one needs to stop the diet after seven days. You can search for different effects of the cabbage soup diet (or Mayo Clinic diet), which is also sometimes called Sacred Heart Diet. You will see that if you don’t couple the diet with exercise, you will gain more weight in the form of fat. The amount of weight you have lost in the diet are essential muscle tissues, so if this happens, you will become fatter and you will not gain muscles from this diet plan.

If you are wondering what meals you should eat for the seven day diet plan. Here is a summary guide for you to ponder on:

For the first day, drink as much soup as you desire. Couple it with fruit, cranberry juice, unsweetened tea, water or black coffee.

For the next day, only eat raw or cooked vegetables along with your cabbage soup diet. Don’t eat any type of fruit.

On the third day, you can eat fruits and vegetables while drinking as much cabbage soup you want.

The fourth day is crucial as you will need to eat around eight bananas and drink skimmed milk while drinking as much cabbage soup.

For the last three days, a cup or two of cabbage soup will do. However, the cabbage diet plan works this way for the next three days:

On Day 5, eat half a dozen tomatoes and around 425g of beef, chicken or fish. Make sure that you have drunk six to eight glasses of water.

On the sixth day, you can eat a couple of beef steaks along with fresh vegetable salad.

On the last day, drink cabbage soup at least once. Restrict yourself to eating only brown rice, vegetables and unsweetened fruit juice.

Most people who undergo this 7 day diet plan have experienced dizziness, low concentration ability and being light-headed. The cabbage soup diet can work well with your taste buds if you add a little bit of seasoning to improve its flavour. Though it may taste bland, the cabbage diet plan works for rapid weight loss. Just be sure to add a workout routine and exercise after the seven day diet plan to maintain the type of body you desire.

However, the 3 day diet can be followed with indefinite style. The diet plan includes the low calorie food stuffs as a major content of the plan. The 3 day diet includes the basic three time meal- breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Following is the essential information regarding involvement of specific food items in three times meal of a day-

b) Lunch — Half cup of tuna can be teamed with single cup of coffee or tea. Plus a single piece of toast and water.

At the same time, lemon and mustard are considered as one of the major constituents of the diet plan.

As a whole, the 3 day diet is a highly effective diet plan, in order to attain a perfect metabolic reaction with effectual burning of extra calories in the body. For positive results, make sure that you do not jump over rich consumption of fat sources immediately after ending your 3 day plan. In order to keep a distance from unfavourable applications or side effects of the plan, few things needed to be kept in your mind throughout the process. Such as, you need to keep a track of calorie level into your body as less calorie consumption is the main highlight of the 3 day diet. No doubt the 3 day diet is a rapid way of losing weight. However, it is only suitable for short term applications and hence not made for prolonged effectiveness. Most importantly, a rigorous work out program should be avoided as very low content of fats and calories is consumed during the plan. People with caffeine allergy are also not advised to follow this particular plan.

Monday, July 11th, 2011

Losing weight is simply the burning of calories which reduces the extra or excessive fat in the body. But weight loss is not as simple as it may sound, it requires an effective workout program and lose weight workout. Losing weight entails burning more calories than the calories you consume. The next question on most people’s mind at this point is how to burn these calories. Well, this is where weight workouts come in.

Lose weight workouts is the key to burning calories. However, the workouts need to be planned and a program made on the routine, type, and times of the workouts. It is important to note that usually to lose half a kilo of fat will require workouts that will help you lose approximately 3500 calories above the normal burning of calories. However loss of weight cannot happen in a day or a week. It needs commitment, consistency and patience. Therefore, you should take one-step at a time and avoid jumping over board.

This does not mean that you should completely stay away from calories. The body needs calories in order to function normally. However, the calories lost should be more than the calories consumed. There are many lose weight workouts that can help you to lose the extra calories and lose weight. These workouts include; exercising, weight lifting, jogging, skipping, running among many others. While carrying out the weight loss workouts, be sure to calculate the level of your activity. This can be done by keeping a workout journal and using a calories calculator to be able to calculate the number of calories you’ve lost during your workouts. It is also important to keep track of what you eat every day and how many calories you add every day. Also make sure the calories you consume are less than the calories you burn. This can be done by keeping a food journal .This journal will help you write down what you are supposed to eat and their nutritional value. It will also help you to determine how you can reduce the level of calories intake without negatively affecting the overall health of your body.

Apart from the above tool and lose weight workouts, you will need motivation in order to have effective results. Giving up or stopping in the middle of a program will only have a negative effect on the weight loss program and the results as well. You should not only be motivated but understand exactly what you need to do in order to achieve good results. An effective weight loss program will include strength training, cardio and flexibility. Find a lose weight workout program that suits you but will give you good results. If the program is too strict or cannot fit into your lifestyle then it can be a matter of changing a few elements in the program to fit your lifestyle. This will ensure an effective lose weight workout. One program I highly recommend is the P.A.C.E lose weight workout created by Dr Al Sears. I have used this program personally with phenomenal results and it can be done in as little as 10 minutes a day!

However, numerous weight loss foods can help you in getting over all these phases with success. In addition, some foods that are healthy may have many calories than one may think and therefore these are not what to eat to lose weight.

So, what should be eaten for losing weight?

If one studies medical aspects of losing weight, they are simple: you just need to consume lesser calories than you actually burn across the day. In reality, this is much more complicated than it may seem. Many people have different calorific needs and metabolism rate and use varying amount of calories. Therefore, weight loss in them may vary to a great extent. However, basic rule is always the same. Eat less and do adequate exercise to lose weight. Now, do not worry, you will not have to spend hours in a gym. Even an hour’s walk in a day can help you in burning sufficient amount of calories.

Certain foods that can help you in losing weight

There are hundreds of weight loss products on the market that can help people in losing weight, but it still needs to be combined with eating healthy in order to keep the weight off permanently. Pursuing your goals while keeping up with your diet can be quite hard, especially when you hear your stomach rumbling throughout the day! Definitely, some foods can help you in your goal of losing weight.

Whole grain bread, fruits, raw vegetables can keep people full for hours as they contain many fibres that are very healthy for the body and digestive system. Nuts can also help you in losing weight. They are actually counter-intuitive choice, as they have lots of fat and calories, but they are also a storehouse of minerals, vitamins and unsaturated fatty acids. You just need a small handful of nuts to curb your hunger in between your meals.

However, you should avoid certain foods when you decide on what to eat to lose weight. You may have formed lots of bad eating habits over the years. You should avoid pizzas, ketchups, hotdogs, mayonnaise, cheese and similar other stuff. It is best if you can reduce or altogether eliminate them during your weight loss initiative. You can eat tons of raw vegetables without adding any sauces, just pure blanched.

You should concentrate not only on what to eat to lose weight, but also on what you drink throughout the day. Packed drinks such as coke, beverages and fruit juices are loaded with calories. Fruit juices may appear as a healthy choice, but in reality they are not. With most of the fibre removed, they contain large amount of calories in the form of sugar. Therefore, you should preferably eat an apple or an orange as a snack and avoid sugary beverages throughout the day.

Diet Tips For Weight Loss

By loseweightdiet · Comments (0)
Monday, May 9th, 2011

Obesity has become a huge problem all around the world, but mainly for the United States. Americans eat too much fast food, and processed foods, too many times a day. Unfortunately Australians are not far off either. Another problem we are faced with is people’s expectation that losing weight is easy. If you watch mainstream media there are many weight loss programs advertised that make it seem as though the kilos will melt off with ease. This is not reality; losing weight requires a lifestyle change and hard work. So if you’re looking for realistic diet tips the most important thing to remember is to set reasonable goals for weight loss and not expect overnight miracles. Here are some other diet tips to consider:

Diet Tips #1

There are many ways to lose weight and all of them start with a visit to your doctor. Your doctor will give you a complete physical and recommend the right diet for you, exercise program and diet tips to help you lose weight. You will find that losing weight is a matter of numbers and you have to get into the habit of burning more calories than you ingest. This means changing your diet and starting an exercise program. Your doctor will let you know how long you can exercise and what type of exercises you can perform. Researching some diet tips will also assist you in reaching your weight loss goals.

Diet Tips #2

Other diet tips to consider are setting goals. The main goal being to start somewhere. It is always better to start with smaller goals and begin your program slowly and then work your way up to bigger goals. After all you don’t want to find yourself quitting before you even start! For example, you may want to start by walking fifteen minutes a day then work yourself up to a brisk forty-five minute walk. From there you could move onto jogging and then other exercises. You could participate in sports activities to get some of your exercise. Changing up your exercise routine each day is another important diet tip. This will keep you from becoming bored and quitting your program before your goals are reached. So make your exercise as fun as possible. Another great asset for losing weight is to have a partner to help keep you motivated. Whether it is your spouse, friend, parent, or child try to find someone that will help you with your diet program.

 Diet Tips # 3

There are certain diet tips that can help you lose weight. However some diet tips will tell you to cut out all your treats and comfort foods all at the one time but this will cause you to get depressed and quit your diet too early. In fact, some people suffer mild withdrawal symptoms when stopping some foods. A better diet tip is to eat lower calorie, lower fat foods, seafood, chicken, turkey and try to reduce your portion sizes. These are all good choices when on a diet. One of the biggest culprits for adding weight to people are sodas. If you can replace half of your soda intake with water, or other low calorie drinks you can see amazing results. If you have trouble keeping your calorie intake where it needs to be, you might want to sign up for one of the programs that send you your meals. These are great weight loss tools because they have done all of the calorie counting for you, which can save you a lot of worry and aggravation.

Lose Weight Fast: Increasing Your Metabolism

By loseweightdiet · Comments (0)
Tuesday, April 26th, 2011

The only way to lose weight fast and effectively is to increase your metabolism. Have you tried a diet that worked for a friend but not for you? You followed his or her diet to the letter yet still you did not see the results he or she did. Ever wonder why? The answer is not that you are weightier but more likely that their metabolic rate is not the same as yours.

Every metabolism differs from person to person and that means we all lose weight in different ways. Metabolic rate? Metabolism? No, I am not speaking a foreign language. Metabolic rate is the speed in which the body burns up calories and the responsibility of this process, called metabolism, is given to the muscles which are also known as the metabolic reactive. In a nut shell, muscles burns up fat even when you are not physically active. So if  you want to lose weight fast then you need to speed up your metabolism.

Be a healthier, sexier you by following these useful tips to increase your metabolic rate:

Hydrate

The body performs better when hydrated so drink eight or so glasses of water a day.

Get plenty of sleep.

Studies prove that four or less hours of sleep a night decreases your metabolism and causes the individual to overindulge. The individuals who slept for eight hours optimized their metabolic rate and their well rested façade made them feel less inclined to over indulge so needless to say aim for eight hours of sleep to lose weight fast.

Exercise

Let’s face it, most people cringe when they hear the dreaded ‘E’ word yet muscle is an important contributor to lose weight fast. If you take care of it, it takes care of you. Toning your muscles will even continue to burn your calories even when you are sleeping. Now who wouldn’t want that?

So it stands to reason that the more you work out and build lean muscle, the faster you lose weight. Important points to remember are that your body slows down during the day so afternoon and towards the evening your metabolic rate slows down. Which means around this time is best to burn more calories.

Do not be afraid to work up a sweat, it helps you keep fit and sleep better as well as lose weight fast.

Exercise doesn’t have to be tedious and boring either. Look for something that works for you and is exciting as well as fun. Another thing to remember is that you must challenge your body when you exercise to make the most of your metabolic function because the more you push your muscles (push not punish), the more your muscles will burn calories for hours after your work out.

It is called interval training and it utilizes different ways to confuse your body by not allowing your body to get used to one thing because all exercises when done too often becomes monotonous as well as less effective, that effect is called the plateau effect.

Do not skip meals.

Starving your body slows your metabolic rate causing your body to go into defence mode and the next time you eat, your body immediately stores the fat as a reserve fuel to defend itself against deprivation. So, you do more harm than good and probably gain more weight, more quickly when you deprive yourself or starve yourself. The trick is to eat six small meals a day that is three small meals and snack healthily between or follow this guide line: Eat like a king in the morning, a queen in the afternoon and a pauper at night. That simply meaning because your metabolism is at its fastest in the morning, you can eat a proper meal in the morning. Also, if you want to cheat, it’s best done before noon and as your metabolic rate slows your portions during meals get less therefore supper time is your smallest meal.

So let us recap: lose weight fast by burning more calories. Now that you know, what are you waiting for…

Lose Weight In A Week Naturally

By loseweightdiet · Comments (0)
Tuesday, April 12th, 2011

Learning how to lose weight in a week is not at all complicated.  Just understand how to lose weight, make your plans and get started. The longer you wait to start towards your goal, the longer it will take to lose it.

Here are the main factors you need to know if you want to lose weight in a week:

•       Count your calorie intake and burn out more than what you consume.
•       Keep track of what you are eating.
•       Reduce portion sizes.
•       Be active every day.
•       Spend time on strength training.
•       Stay consistent

If you are striving to lose weight in a week without any starvation, readymade supplements, diet pills, or cutting on favourite foods then just follow these natural, tried, tested, and approved tips:

•       Tip #1:  Drink plenty of plain water — Water is a zero-calorie drink with no carbohydrates or sodium and will help you lose weight in a week.  It is a perfect healthy drink provided by nature and will aid in flushing out the toxins from your body.  You must drink at least 4-5 glasses of water at room temperature and before meals for optimum effect and also early in the morning to flush out the toxins and avoid constipation.  Water also helps your metabolism and if you cannot drink plain water, just add mint leaves or lemon juice to it.  But just drink lots and lots of water!

•       Tip #2:  Lose with exercise — In order to lose weight in a week you have to consume less and work out more.  Take the stairs if you normally use the elevator.  Skip for half an hour while watching your favourite TV program.  Walk on a treadmill for at least 1 hour daily.  Walk with your dog for at least half an hour on a daily basis.

•       Tip #3:  Mind your diet — Avoid eating three full meals a day. Instead try small 5-6 servings to help you lose weight in a week.  Skip to skimmed milk and artificial sweeteners in your coffee.  And the best way to shed those extra kilos is to drink black coffee.  Eat baked potato instead of French fries, and chocolate pudding instead of chocolate cookies.

Tips are only guidelines to lose weight in a week but the success rate depends only on your determination and your healthy eating habits.  In order to lose weight in a week you do not have to stay away from food.  You can achieve your goal by little variations in your diet, slight alterations in your lifestyle and acquiring knowledge of basic nutrition in the food that you intake.

Follow these healthy diet guidelines to lose weight in a week. These recommendations will provide perfect balance between variety, nutritive value and calorie.

•      Eat variety and nutritive-rich foods:  Variety is spice of life so your diet must include whole-grain, fruits, vegetable, poultry, fish and other protein-rich foods.

•      Eat lots of coloured fruits and vegetables:  Fruits and vegetables are packed with nutrients, vitamins, minerals, fibre, etc and are low in calorie but stuffed with antioxidants and thus protect against life-threatening diseases.

•      Eat lots of Greens:  Natural green leafy vegetables have a lot of calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc; vitamins like A, C, E and K, and are good for digestion and respiratory system.  Broccoli, spinach, lettuce are just a few examples.

•      Eat Healthy fats:  Eat monosaturated fats found in olive oil, avocados, and nuts like almond, pecans and seeds like sesame.

A healthy diet can help you shed a few kilos but you should also know the techniques of retaining this lost weight can only be achieved by exercise.

Frankly speaking, in order to lose weight in a week you will need to eat right in right proportion at right times with right determination with the right set of goals and you will see the difference.

Diet Plans To Keep The Weight Off

By loseweightdiet · Comments (0)
Friday, March 25th, 2011

One of the most commonly asked questions would have to be “what are the right diet plans for me?” While there is no one answer that will work for everyone, there are definitely some very good general tips to consider if you are planning to start any diet plans. First off, one of the things that you should not do is participate in crash diet plans which will have you lose a lot of weight in a short amount of time that you’ll probably gain back again as soon as you stop that sort of diet. Diet plans like that do not work as they are very temporary fixes and are often not very healthy for your body while you are participating in them.

Diet plans that are matched with a good exercise regimen are one of the best ways for you to lose the weight and keep it off as well. Many people think that they can start some diet plans and eat better foods and lose weight without exercising. While this might work for some people out there it usually is not the best strategy as diet and exercise is the best combination to really attack those fat cells. Another common thing that some people are often surprised to hear is that sometimes eating more often can actually be better for you. Lots of people tend to eat just a couple of times a day but very large meals and this is not good for your body or for your metabolism if you’re trying to lose weight. By eating small meals 5 to 6 times a day you’ll keep your metabolism high and your body will never be hungry which makes it easier for you to lose the weight.

Other people also think of diet plans as something that they will do for a few weeks to a few months and then after that they can go back to their normal eating habits. This is also not a good way to look at things as going right back into the habits that got you to be overweight in the first place, will only lead you right back there in the end anyways. The best way to make sure that the diet plans you have chosen to use will be effective in the long run, is to stick to the diet plans vigorously and then after it is done make sure you are keeping a good set of eating and diet habits. This will ensure the weight doesn’t stack itself back on. After all if you’ve done all that work in your different diet plans, you’re going to want to make sure that it wasn’t for nothing. If people do go right back to their old eating habits then they might as well have not ever dieted in the first place. In the end diet plans don’t have to be hard, you just have to be driven up to stick to it and plan your meals so that they will be healthy and at the same time delicious.

Achieve Your Ideal Weight With The Help Of Diet Pills

By loseweightdiet · Comments (0)
Sunday, March 6th, 2011

Diet pills can be beneficial to most people who want to lose weight. There are plenty of diet pills available in the market for different purposes. If you want to lose weight fast, you can certainly take slimming pills but you must consider first your health conditions. On this note we recommend to consult a physician before taking anything. Diet pills come in many forms such as appetite suppressants and calorie burners. After all, weight gain is primarily attributed to over eating and excessive intake of calories. Another factor in weight gain is lack of activity so in order to get the optimum results of diet pills, it is suggested to get some exercise.

You can further enhance the effects of diet pills by watching your calorie intake. Most people who want to lose weight heavily focus on protein and carbohydrates. While these ideas help in weight reduction, taking lesser calories is still more effective. Carbohydrate and protein only contribute to weight gain if they are taken in enormous amounts. If you keep an eye on your protein and carb intake, chances are you won’t gain. However, you will not lose weight too. Lowering your calories is the answer and that is what these pills try to do.

Part of avoiding calories is knowing which food contains much. On this note avoid soda, alcohol or sports drink. Simply avoid drinking liquids that contain calories and following this routine daily will guarantee that you will reduce kilos per week successfully.

Another way to lose weight fast is by taking diet pills and pairing it with exercise. But it does not mean that you can just hop into the gym and get a workout program. This approach should be seen from a different angle. If you are trying to lose weight, a body building program is not the best scheme for you. Remember, there are different types of exercises for specific purposes. Weight loss exercises often involve vigorous activities such as aerobics or interval training which helps the lungs and the heart function well.

To get the most out of your exercise program and diet pills, set goals that you can easily achieve. Nutrition specialists agree that the maximum weight loss per week is about a kilogram. Understanding this goal will help you become consistent in your workout without getting impatient or frustrated. As we know, people give up exercise if they’re not able to achieve the results they want. So be patient and understand your limit to avoid straining yourself.
There are many diet pills that can be bought without prescription, giving you more options and flexibility when it comes to spending. Just don’t forget to do your research about a particular product to get the appropriate diet pills for you. Losing weight does not need to be difficult, all that it needs is proper planning, being steadfast in achieving your goal and a little help from diet pills.

Detox Diet

By loseweightdiet · Comments (0)
Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011

Losing weight starts with what you eat. Your body is a product of what you intake and ingest. Today, everything comes in an instant like fast and ready to eat food but they contain food enhancers and preservatives that can be harmful to the body. The process of detoxification involves flushing out harmful toxins and free radicals caused by junk food, alcohol, pollution and sometimes medication. On a detox diet, you would go through the process of cleansing from within where the body excretes toxins and body wastes through the kidney, lungs, skin, liver and large intestines. As a result a detox diet can be a healthy and natural way to lose weight and improve overall well being.

Start detoxification through the lungs. As you breathe in, you inhale oxygen which mixes with the blood and carries out nutrients to the entire body. Breathing out is a detox diet in itself that eliminates carbon dioxide. Try this: Breathe through your diaphragm and inhale in and out deeply to relieve stress and to clear your mind. You’ll find it uses more energy than simple breathing and burns fats. Meditation and Yoga are good examples of a detox diet for the lungs and mind. It relaxes the mind and its natural setting detoxifies the lungs.

Detox Diet Through Fasting?
Fast from caffeine, junk food, alcohol, cigarettes, refined sugar and saturated fats. These contain substances that build up toxins in the body. In the morning, drink a glass of lukewarm water with a pinch of salt on an empty stomach. This prompts into a bowel movement and cleanses your colon. Drink at least eight glasses of water every day to flush out excess calorie or sugar in the blood. Calorie gives energy to the body. However, unused calorie is stored and turned into fat. Include high fibre rich foods like green leafy vegetables, citrus fruits, root vegetable and whole wheat to your detox diet. Fibre aids in healthy digestion by absorbing fats, oil and toxins in the intestines and flushing them away.

Lemonade Detox Diet
You can also try a lemonade diet. It is a detox diet that consists of lemon, maple syrup and cayenne pepper. Squeeze one lemon in a glass of water then add grade B maple syrup and a half teaspoon of cayenne pepper. Avoid using grade A maple syrup because it has gone through several refinement procedures and has lost essential nutrients. Lemon is a good source of vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant and immunity booster. Cayenne pepper aids in detoxification by increasing the flow of digestive enzyme production and gastric juices. This helps in the body’s ability to absorb the food nutrients and to eliminate toxins from the liver to the large intestines. It speeds the body’s natural way to detoxify through sweating. Maple syrup contains zinc and manganese that fight and eliminate bad cholesterol.

Detox Diet Through Sweating
Sweating is another form of a detox diet because it eliminates excess fats through perspiration. Simple exercise like climbing up stairs several times and a thirty minute walk is good on the thighs and nervous system. It also detoxifies the skin by pushing out dirt and oil from the pores and gives clearer skin. Infrared saunas are another option to help your body sweat out toxins safely, the drawback is it can get very expensive.
